Easter Lily
Themes: Purity, synthesis of spirit with sexuality.
“I am pure. I have always been pure. I will always be pure.”
Easter Lilies are prominent during the Easter season, when the resurrection of Christ is celebrated among religious communities. The resurrection occurs after the crucifixion, where Jesus, the sacrificial lamb, is sacrificed to purify mortals of our “sins”. Many interpretations of the story of the crucifixion and resurrection create a splitting off of innate purity, insinuating that purity is unattainable for humans, only present in a Divine being that we can look to, but never touch. However, purity is our Divine birthright and will always rise, as Jesus did.
The medicine of Easter Lily reminds us of our purity: that we ARE Divine Beings.
An aspect of our humanity that is often divorced from purity is sexuality. Easter Lily’s influence particularly helps to merge these facets of our beings so that we can experience the beauty of Divine sexuality. Easter Lily helps to heal imbalances in sexual organs or function that are resultant of having internalized falsehoods about the disunion of Spirit from sexuality.
