Pink Monkeyflower
A beautiful heart remedy, Pink Monkeyflower treats fear of vulnerability. When we fear and therefore avoid risking vulnerability, we miss out on the gift of true connection with others. As said by renowned researcher and author on vulnerability & shame, Brené Brown, “vulnerability is the doorway to connection”. We often resist vulnerability due to feelings of shame, shame being related to deficient belief structures that we ARE “bad” or “wrong”. These deficient belief structures can come into place due to past trauma or abuse, harmful cultural, societal, and familial paradigms such as patriarchy. Shame causes us to want to hide who we really are. Many find themselves in conflict between desperately wanting to be seen & heard, and yet being too afraid to show themselves. Pink Monkeyflower encourages a gentle opening of the heart, the willingness and capacity to risk exposure through being vulnerable, and, ultimately, the ability to connect intimately with other human beings. After all, connection, relationship and love are the TRUE meanings of life.
